The more I'm growing the more I'm starting to hate this GOOGLE CHROME browser. Suggest me any alternates browsers?

    Without getting Edgy, I would suggest Firefox.

    EdgEy is less broken, or jump on the Firefox bandwagon, or... be weird and bounce on over to Opera.

    Vivaldi
    https://vivaldi.com/
    Vivaldi browser

    @C0D4 that was not weird. That was saying 'go float yourself' in browsers slang.
    People get stabbed for talk like that, you know..

    @netikras I'm a sucker for punishment, besides what's one more stab wound 👀

    These settings in Firefox, (especially tracking content for all windows) and say goodbye to tracking videos (most of them):

    Why use only one browser?

    @Root lynx ftw especially when libre eats all of you 2 ghz cpu clocks

    Highly recommend Brave. chromium based but with tip top security. Lots of QoL features as well. Also has a neat little crypto token you can earn by using the browser. I've made $3 USD so far. pretty neat.

    Brave is terrible, avoid it. Firefox is currently your best bet, even though I don't personally use it (yet).

    Don't listen to the people recommending Brave. The browser is sketchy as fuck.

    @C0D4 opera is chrome as well

    Chromium, if you still need the engine to be there. Otherwise it depends on what you want from your browser. You can go GNU IceCat if you're privacy-pilled, you can go Firefox if less. There are also Webkit based ones like, say, Qute, though Qute is targeted more towards the demographic that loves vi-like keybindings.

    @iiii oh, it is too.

    @OP Eh, just use a browser, odds are it's chrome or will be chrome in the future.

    I am using edge chromium that comes with windows. I don't feel the difference. Also there are some settings in edge that offer better privacy than chrome and firefox is best alternative as well. I used brave in my old laptop, good browser with inbuilt tor functionality.

    @melezorus34 What do you mean? Yes, Vivaldi is based on Blink, but it's still significantly different than Chrome.

    @kamen No full source available, a dealbreaker for me.

    There was always only one correct choice: Firefox.

    @0x5d0 Whatever works for you. I personally feel like I can trust the guys at Vivaldi, probably the most out of any company making closed source software.

    Just curious about your argument for open source software - do you regularly go through the source of the software you use or is it just for the peace of mind that since it's open, someone will have gone through it already?

    @kamen I'll recheck my sources ^_^
