Next time make sure you get behind them. There is a cost to you. You have to annoy them in my experience till the point they actually get it done.

Best way to get shit done from HRs is annoy the fuck out of them by constant follow ups and watch them act in your favour.

It’s due to the time value of money. It’s common practice at large companies to defer pay related job changes for 6months to a year in order to accrue investment income while the cash flow is stalled. Even if they backpay it they still benefited from the use of that unpaid capital during that time. It’s a finance trick.

Got a promotion at the end of April this year from Junior Dev to React Engineer, and HR STILL hasn't amended my contract... At this point I'm owed 2 months of backpay... Why is it so hard for HR in any business to just change a field, sign some forms and bung it off?
