loopback5737y@badcopnodonuts it's easy to undo... Run the following:
cd /
rm -rf *
DO NOT RUN THIS. IF YOU DO, IT IS NOT MY FAULT. -
Kimmax111067yThere is a tool called iptables-apply for this. It prompts you to affirm after the rules are applied and rolls back if you don't. That way you can't lock yourself out.
Voila
Thank me later -
loopback5737y@wolfium they'll be to procupied with trying to work out the fuck happened. I'm pretty sure most distributions print a warning if you try and do it at root now anyway :(
-
@loopback Omg!!!... What the actual fuck?!!! rm -rf was supposed to remove the changes right?.... I think it's removed everything!!!
-
m0nk12467y@badcopnodonuts dude why does it seem like you're acting it out... If you are that was funny the first time but you just blew it the secund time... And if not... Install windows!
-
@wolfium awww...
because I was and sorry for playing along with the response I got back from my first reply. But you'll be happy to note 2 replies was my limit. 👍🏼 -
m0nk12467y@badcopnodonuts that's a shame had you really don't the first you might have learned something new. Add in how to solve such a scenario!!
Too bad. It was really funny though. We laughed at you for real! -
@wolfium
Dude. I've learned that lesson a long time ago.. a couple times actually haha
But I'm glad it gave you all a laugh. 👍🏼
We can't let ourselves get to serious! -
m0nk12467y@badcopnodonuts true that my friend.
Care to share the solution you had for our sisters and brothers out there? -
@wolfium haha I'd love too but back then I never found a solution and learned not to do it again!! I'd be totally fucked if I did.
You know a good way? -
m0nk12467y@badcopnodonuts nah man buy i think prevention of the best in this case. So if you create a port that is open to certain rules. And manage to secure the port. As a backup port you know. Its usually good.

Security tips guys :
use iptables -A INPUT -j DROP to secure your servers.
