If people had antlers, would you be basically ok with that, or would it cause some kind of issues?10

A reddit kind of question.
Guys, if you come to find our that your girl [gf/wife] is messing arround with another girl [eg you find them in bed when you get home, you see them in home's cctv, neighbours' hints, she tells you, etc], would you consider that as infidelity / grounds for a breakup?
Gals: same qn, only about your boy19 -
I was asked to give my thoughts on hack4techspy because I was pleased with how my score improv
ed and how much they taught me. Well to whom it may concern, all I can say is that they are good at their job and if you need any cyber related help you can visit their email. Mind you i also got them to spy on my cheating spouse too and they did a good job where i could access his phone remotely without him noticing, you can do the same too just follow the process given to you by hack4techspy trust me when there is nothing to worry about dealing with these kind of people.hack4techspy @gmail com -
“Hey what’s this issue? Can you tell me what’s going on?”
“Yeah sure, what is it?”

How do people like this live? How do they not forget how to breathe or eat?11 -
new manager new problems: every 1:1 I listen for him to talk about his political defeats all the time and he wouldn't make time for me to talk

Is vscode that notoriously slow as a damn snail?? I can barely use it sometimes. I’m on a MacBook Pro that I bought new last year, so it’s not a potato.
Then again my last job issued a thinkpad, not my top choice bc I like Mac’s but vscode ran somewhat ok on that ugly thing4 -
startup idea : job offer email as a service
basically a company which will send you a fake offer letter email, so you can try negotiating better salary from your current org.
high risk high rewards game1 -
Sometimes I just don't know what to say anymore
I'm working on my engine and I really wanna push high triangle counts. I'm doing a pretty cool technique called visibility rendering and it's great because it kind of balances out some known causes of bad performance on GPUs (namely that pixels are always rasterized in quads, which is especially bad for small triangles)
So then I come across this post https://tellusim.com/compute-raster... which shows some fantastic results and just for the fun of it I implement it. Like not optimized or anything just a quick and dirty toy demo to see what sort of performance I can get
... I just don't know what to say. Using actual hardware accelerated rasterization, which GPUs are literally designed to be good at, I render about 37 million triangles in 3.6 ms. Eh, fine but not great. Then I implement this guys unoptimized(!) software rasterizer and I render the same scene in 0.5 ms?!
IT'S LITERALLY A COMPUTE SHADER. I rasterize the triangles manually IN SOFTWARE and write them out with 64-bit atomic image stores. HOW IS THIS FASTER THAN ACTUAL HARDWARE!???
AND BY LIKE A ORDER OF MAGNITUDE AT THAT???
Like I even tried doing some optimizations like backface cone culling on the meshlets, but doing that makes it slower. HOW. Im rendering 37 million triangles without ANY fancy tricks. No hi-z depth culling which a GPU would normally do. No backface culling which a GPU with normally do. Not even damn clipping of triangles. I render ALL of them ALL the time. At 0.5 ms7 -
opus > gpt
spent days trying to get info out of gpt and I think it made me question my own sanity. my brain is so tired and mangled by the whole experience
tried opus and it can remember a conversation and doesn't gaslight you all the time. goddamn
and it writes code that you can actually read
and it will actually answer questions instead of equivocating like a condescending dick14 -
Whilst procrastinating via semi-helpful browsing,(random blockchain news/info) I come across a new crypto that's really pushing for dev (advertising dev grants etc).
I click "why develop on *whatever*".
This is the start of the page it lead to:
"The Internet began with Web1, a read-only content delivery network. Users could only consume what was offered by site owners, which significantly limited their interaction with the web content."
I blink slowly a few times, figuratively scratch my head and leave.
Am I just too harsh on things like this? I mean, I get that internet history and knowing wtf web3 means is important and all...
Is it too high of a bar to expect a link, specifically trying to entice competent devs who are directly looking into a new web3/blockchain tech to dev with/on, lead to a page that starts with somewhat relative, to the originating link's stated topic, information?
Don't get me wrong, I definitely understand the frequent necessity to be pedantic... but starting with multiple paragraphs of internet history when the sole objective of the link is to inform/entice, specifically, competent devs, who are explicitly looking to leverage blockchain tech... just seems ridiculous.
Despite not actually super interested in changing or adding new blockchain tech to dev with in the near future (not dissatisfied with our relatively established groundwork/current approach), I was actually starting to consider branching out a bit to include initial functionality and/or tools/integrations with this protocol i wasnt aware of (not even just for grant $)... but if their idea of onboarding devs to build on their tech starts with an extremely pedantic intro as to Web1-3 basics... they must have a reeeeally low bar/very desperate for devs.
Seeing this makes me pretty certain it'd be easy/minimal effort to get a decent chunk of grant funding... but with a bar THAT low, I'm not wanting to be associated with them.8 -
Garbage collection incentivizes shit and cuckold programmers. Change my mind.
Reason is basically, it's easy to design a bad architecture, potential bugs are just delayed and waiting to happen later. There are still resources like databases, whose management is more or less like memory that you never learn to do properly because of GC15 -
1. I have to learn German (as a language).
2. I have undiagnosed and subclinical ADHD.
3. I have a job that partially needs my brain for 9 hours of the day.
4. I'm coming off of antidepressants. (Life has been hard lately. Needed a little help to cope.)
5. I need to finish learning German in about 2-3 months.
6. I don't enjoy interacting with people.
Any suggestions for what can help with the goal? Software, web apps, services, etc. Specially good non-violent and non-depressing tv-series.16 -
In my last rant, I complained about our rebranding document that was very much lacking... Their listed colours are slightly different than the colours used in their logo...
How do they fuck up copy pasting the colour values. And yes, it was meant to be the same.1 -
I thought my code wasn't great until I saw this project marked for decommissioning by end of 2024.
Holy shit.
These people basically wrote their own JS full stack framework because they don't like frameworks.
In one of the files, there are over 150 console logs.
I also found two database names. I wonder if I keep digging, I might find a full database query string with login credentials in plain text.
I have to provide support if needed because they're firing the contractor. Wise Decision, methinks.1 -
