Been using this monitor layout lately, like it a lot better than side by side when using a laptop

This has been my setup for a few years now. I really do like it!

I've never been a fan of a top mount monitor, seems to stretch my neck too much.. Probably just my bike crash though *shrugs*

Not my style, but looks beautiful!

Is that a VM or synergy (or similar mouse/keyboard sharing software)?

I tried it for 3 days, then I gave up.
I just couldn't handle it being the noob I am.

This does not look ergonomic (monitor is too high) :S

Had this setup, it's really comfortable as the laptop display sits too low and the monitor is right on the eye level.

This removed my neck strain soooo fast that i can't live without secondary monitor now

Yep. It's great. But doesn't work for budgie or other "new" DEs

The more you have to look up the more tired your eyes would be, the more eye fatigue.

Doesn't it hurt your neck and tire your eyes. I read years ago it's good to avoid set ups like that. I can see the benefits though.

Not sure if you can tell from the picture but the top monitor is angled down and the laptop monitor is angled up, no neck or eye strain so far at all

@ChrRubin it’s a VM, ASP.NET project that should be done in about a month thankfully

So you are also remote controlling a Windiws PC from you laptop?
