    @lotd nuvoula player takes 300MB+ to download.. WTF and 8tracks is youtube only (bad quality)

    @duckifier yeah nuvoula plus all the modules I suppose.

    Huh? Last I used 8tracks they supported SoundCloud, YT, bandcamp & Spotify (Spotify was through iframe their web player though :p

    OpenWhyd.org plays from YouTube Soundcloud Vimeo bandcamp and mp3 files.
    No Spotify support, but also plays from Deezer as well.
    And it's open source :-)

    I am in for help and learning...
    I was thinking for adding a section of downloading songs from any other site like YouTube , Spotify....for ease purpose

    I once wrote a (very bad) python webserver that could collect requests and then play music from the local device, from HTTP uploads and from YouTube via youtube-dl. I always wanted to continue on this to add platforms like Spotify or Soundcloud and to clean it all up, but could not find the time :(
