Project Type
Project idea
Summary

A website where people can protest against anything including goverments.

Description
A website where people can protest by opening a thread and start submitting their opinion about it without being judged. The submitted content(input) should be anonymous(like when submitting content to WikiLeaks) Also should be well encrypted and secured(because im pretty sure some govs would try to take it down). Simply allowing people to protest online instead of posting their opinion on social media or protesting on the streets.

    how can you prevent someone's opinion from being judged?

    and how is this different from creating an anonymous social media account?

    @calmyourtities without being judged means no one can reply to another and anyone can talk whatever he wants.

    Its kinda like a reddit thread for a specific topic where anyone can share his thoughts about it.

    The difference between anonymous social media account and this website is that u dont have to create an account at first, second all people who share the same thought/mission would talk about it under one thread instead of posting on their personal fb profile or opening a fake account to post while most of the people will report/block them.

    for example. It could be helpful to show govs how many people disagree for any law or something like that.

    What do you think?

    This could be a double edged sword
  • 1
    For example think about other governments trying to discredit one

    This'll be their hangout

    @J-2FA won't succeed. no one wants to read material that is 100% people who hate others. you could very well be attracting racists, terrorists and criminals. I bet there's something else you could do though.

    @J-2FA not to mention it will probably get blocked in any country that doesnt have freedom of speech

    @calmyourtities
    That's my idea you're stealing XD

    @calmyourtities
    There's always a way to unblock

    I formerly had a similar idea :)

    It would be nice to have some voluntarely given information like "where do you live", "what is your gender" or "How old are you".
    These are information even governments register from time to time while the population is voting, for statistics.

    I guess one of the downlets of this idea is a possible misinformational attack led by a bot net, for example.

    You can't protest on the net against anything. That's a huge misbelief that some kind of internet circlejerk can create enough momentum to change anything in the real world. You'd be better off providing tools for those ppl out there in the real world, than channeling even more energy into useless venting on the net.

    @Npstr
    That is where you're wrong, Kiddo.
    Take a look at the EA Battlefront Lootbox Shitstorm ;)
    This one forced a heavy-weight publisher to toggle off a "feature" in production to stop the robbery ^^

    Lol no it did absolutely not. Did you even keep track of the follow up? Electronic Aids did jack shit. Thanks for proving my point by providing the biggest digital circlejerk till date to be utterly ignored except for some PR bullshit as an example.

    Google brought up no real results for a platform like that.
    I think it could be realised when user use their web identities like facebook, twitter or google accounts.
    I really like that idea.

    On the other hand, i see at least four challenges to handle:

    You have to keep an eye on law changes on every country using your platform, constantly.

    You have to handle a f***load of traffic.

    You need to check and clean you're user content of illegal stuff.

    You have to find proper ways to earn money to keep the site alive.

    i was planning for a forum for public to rant about their issues, like bn potholes, poor sewage system in their locality, some government policy
