    When I need to do this I usually just use the user agent string. But I like your idea, means spoofing won't work

    Is this on github? I'd like to submit a PR to fix some minor typos

    @j4cobgarby ya. It doesn't have its own repo. It is part of my website's repo. It's at:

    RetryLife/Retrylife.github.io

    In a folder called noie

    If I'm not mistaken, you could just do this with CSS and then test for IE - I think this could work on IE8+.

    Let's face it, you deserve to be punched in the face if you use an IE version lower than 8.

    @masterdoctor I am currently using css for the test.

    @ewpratten Nice! Can I use this in a small commercial project I'm doing for someone? I find it well written and clean :)
    I'd have to copy the landing page though, as there is no internet... That's why I'm asking ;)

    @eval sure! Do you mind adding a link back to my GitHub or the original page at the bottom? If not, that's still ok.

    @ewpratten of course! thanks :)

    Also if you don't use JS you can just paste one IE-only extension - [if lt]
