Holy crap, look at the Sun Microsystems Type 6 keyboard.

That's like hell on your desk.

Actually, it might not be as bad for shortcuts cause Ctrl is just to the left of your pinky, which means it’s a smaller stretch than going downwards. But I could be wrong.

Try hitting caps + z. It sucks in so many levels. It could work for ctrl+w or ctrl+[1|2|3|...], but for the most used keys it kinda sucks.
But of course, you have two columns with shortcuts on your left XD

@phiter Isn’t that just pinky on Ctrl and ring on Z? I guess it’d be hard if one’s not used to it.

Imo the shortcut keys are more hellish if they aren’t bound to anything else, cause you’d have to remember which one’s which and you’d have to move your entire hand over just to push a button, which might throw off touch typists.

I prefer to code on the android keyboard anyway. No such ambiguity here. You should switch.

What key is there where escape usually is? Space?

Some university computers have keyboards like these. Typing on those is, well interesting... I've bound Escape to Caps lock for whenever I'm using Vim and these keyboards just freak me out.
