As time goes on, I've always wondered what I'm going to say to my future grandchildren about what Dev work was like today:

"Grandpa Josh what was programming like when you were a kid?"

"OH IT WAS AWFUL. ALMOST NOBODY USED VERSION CONTROL CORRECTLY AND NEW JAVASCRIPT FRAMEWORKS WOULD APPEAR EVERY SINGLE DAY!"

"They at least attempted to use new paradigms in their framework code, right grandpa?"

"NO CHILD. THEY WERE EXACTLY THE SAME IN EVERY WAY..."

In the future we will have to yell at our grandchildren cuz they play their shitty music so loud in their headphones

Well, if you're into lying to your grandchildren then sure. It's an odd thing to do if you ask me but whatever floats your boat I guess.

Partially fake news. Everyone I know of uses version control.

"We used JavaScript to develop webpages."

@bahua I believe that Javascript will be the only language to survive till then (besides Flash perhaps :-( ), as in web dev you don't have full control: For switching from, idk, Fortran to C, you'll have to rewrite your code and exchange the compiler, all on your own system. To switch away from js, you'll have to make everyone update/exchange their browsers...
