I was thinking about writing a poem generator as a project to have some fun, and I thought about using machine learning to do that. But before diving into it I tried to implement a very simple and basic one, that just throws random words. Most of them were meaningless, but some made sense... Who said randomness and chaos can never generate harmony ? B-)

You should do a genetic algorithm for this, and see where it goes.

Loving the white theme by the way.

@iSwimInTheC that's also a nice idea to try! Thank you for it

    Nice!

What resource(s) are you using to learn ML? I want to get into it too. Thanks.

@enoon I'm starting with an online introductory course on coursera taught by Andrew Ng, it's an awesome course with great material! After this course I'm planning to dive deeper using other resources, but until then I'll just enjoy the introduction

Thanks, mate! Are you using Python? I’m trying to see if there are ML extensions for Processing (the language).

@enoon Andrew teaches it using Matlab, it's very helpful for machine learning. I haven't tried python but it seems familiar for ML so I assume there must be many python libraries for that

@basselch sorry for clogging up your rant with this back-and-forth chat. It’s just cool to see someone else getting into ML. Thanks for the info.

Nice. Kinda creepy. What would you use as a fitness function?

@karnivol I have no idea yet 😂 I'm just waiting for the inspiration to hit while I'm taking a shower

@basselch dang I thought I would find out :D had a similar idea when I took AI course.

@karnivol no worries! I'll definitely keep you updated if I reach something useful

Can you please post the code? Github perhaps?

@kevin51jiang yeah sure, I'll post it as soon as I turn on my laptop (you can access my github account from my profile)
