Why do broadband providers feel its acceptable to fucking hire people who know fuck all about technology. Called up and said I'm experiencing packet loss even when I'm wired and he ran through a bunch of fucking WiFi related questions that had nothing to do with it. Half an hour later and "okay sir it is fixed for you now" and I drop packets again within five minutes.

Thanks, shitcunt.

    classic Shiboleet problem.
Srsly though, avoid talking to thier tech support if possible, and make sure it is not your router or something.

Here's how I do it, I just out right tell them. I'm wired in and I'm experiencing packet loss if your about to start going down a list for wifi related problems send me to the next teir now, if you don't I will be speaking to your manager.

That right their makes them actually think about the solution list their selecting and getting ready to read, then after you go through everything for the wired network and still having issues ask to be advanced to the next teir of support. If they refuse ask to speak to a manager. Otherwise continue the process and you continue doing this until they fix it.

Even better if it's a work network just tell them that the packet loss is effecting the software you use and causing major down time. And because it's their network causing it you start asking about their SLA. This always gets shit done.
