You know that feeling when you got revolutionary idea and you search it if it exists.
It doesnt yayyyyyyyy.
So you say nobody about it and start working on it.
After few days.
You search it again and somebody already done a prototype.
Okay let the WAR begin.

@Condor Yeah i messaged that guy already. Waiting for his response. As far as i know only i and he got that idea. And its really freaking cool. Will write here what it is once its done.

Lets just say new type of secure messaging. Offline and free.
  • 2
And Open-Source and you can DIY.
  • 0
    @Condor Yeah Thanks.
  • 3
Has it something to do with LoRa?
  • 5
@johnsonn Fuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkkk those bastards done it in 2012 ???? Fuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkk. And they even patented it. So im fucked up.
  • 1
Damn it was such a good project.
  • 1
@Haxk20 LoRa is mostly IoT, so you could build up on it and use it for messaging.
  • 0
@FilipeRamalho Build something Open-Source upon it ??? Nooooooooooo. Also i would have to pay them for that and people coudlbt build it themselves as it was meant.
  • 1
@Haxk20 I'm a bit suprised by the response, so let's settle this. WIth LoRa you mean this https://lora-alliance.org/ ? If yes you can use The Things Network.
  • 1
@Haxk20 Ok I understand it now, but again I think this would solution it https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/. \_O_o_/ Maybe this helps.
  • 1
Did that (for image recognition app using Microsoft API)
Google didn't allow upload because I was using a open-source icon for the app.
    Fuck then.
One month latter.. Well let's do a custom icon, after all I had all that work.
    Let's search first.
    Fuck.
Someone already took my ideia, with a better API and that does a lot more then mine...
Fuck this, next time finish what you started

@FilipeRamalho While this is really cool still i want my project to be P2P and not 1 node to rule them all. Can i create my own RF with the site above ??? Or do i need to use their network ??
  • 1
@Haxk20 There isn't one node, but rather a lot of gateways spread around and TTN manages the protocols and connections. Not sure if you can use your radio frequency. Oh and it is open-source https://github.com/thethingsnetwork
  • 0
@FilipeRamalho i know its open source but i would hate myself if i had to do it inside their network.
  • 0
@FilipeRamalho i need person to person and not person to gateway to person. Cant i really create my own RF based on Rpi or arduino and modules ??? I dont want to use those "networks".
  • 0
    @Klanowicz Yeah probably
  • 1
    idea worth nothing.
  • 0
@MaxDeepfield How can you say ? It would fix all issues that all messaging apps have right now. It will be free and offline.
  • 1
    Tldr your ideas plz @haxk20
  • 1
@CozyPlanes tldr ? What does that mean ?
  • 1
    @Haxk20 Too long; didn't read.
Aka, keep it short and simple, summarize.
  • 1
@Haxk20 The objective of The Things Network is to provide a very long geteway network around the world. It doesn't look like what you're asking for, no?
  • 0
@Klanowicz Yeah do you have any recommendations ?
  • 0
@NotFound No. Its not what im asking for. I want decentilized network and not connected to another networks. Also i want to create it on my own and not use another company chip to create it.
  • 0
@NotFound but i do not know if that patent they own allows that.
  • 1
@Haxk20 Really: good luck for it. I would have done something using existant network. (see how many things works with existant network and how many works with new networks)
  • 0
@NotFound Wait a sec. I can create my own network and just use some gateway to connect it to their network ?
  • 0
Create the network without LoRa chips and connect it to the gateway ?
  • 0
    @Klanowicz Europe
  • 1
This is the same realm which I am working in with Texas instruments in their CC1352 stuff. Although it's not fully released yet, but using their chip when it is may help? I think you can still request samples.
I just saw LoRa pop up cause they're one of our competitors and it perked my interest lol
  • 0
@Klanowicz Idk but it seems that its US patent: https://patents.google.com/patent/... (No suprise there and im not sure if thats the patent) but probably in eu too since the company that done that project was from france and then semtech bought it.

Okay but i see that some guys already tried to crack it https://revspace.nl/DecodingLora and from what they said its not patented to that you cant make an RF signal. Here: "LoRa is an abbreviation of Long Range, meaning it is an radio modulation format that gives longer range than straight FSK modulation." It seems to me that they make chips just so that people can use their modulation format. But i dont need that. I just need to know if im free to create an RF signal that transfers data on some unlicensed frequency.

@Klanowicz But still after few talks with a friend if i cant do my RF i will go with LoRa.
  • 0
@Klanowicz I can use Rpi or arduino so no issue there.
  • 0
@Klanowicz kind of funny but we have decided to go with LoRa. It isnt cheap but ohh well i can spare 10$
