Oh God...

Little bit of backstory, I currently have 2 mail servers that largely operate independently of one another. So where an incoming mail gets stored is pretty much a matter of which mx server your server(s) hits first. It isn't stored on the other one. Now that I've got Proxmox largely configured, I'm trying to host the Maildir on that instead, and have both mx servers mount that to their Maildir (/var/vmail with some email structure behind it including the Maildirs for each account), in order to localize my email storage, expand it to 128GB and most importantly, allow the Maildirs to synchronize in realtime.. well without synchronizing anything, just sharing a common resource.

So I looked up how to do that.. The filenames in the Maildir seem quite cryptic and I don't want to fuck up. Stumbled upon this gem.

‘I am running a business with over a 100 people. I have been using the old version of Thunderbird on my Windows PC. I have these database files from the two accounts that I used to connect with my staff and customers separately. Now, that we are upgrading, I want to know ways to perform Maildir.'

TO PERFORM FUCKING MAILDIR? HOW DO YOU PERFORM A GODDAMN FUCKING DIRECTORY?!

Yeah, Mr. Insanely Large and Pompous small business "operator", you can "perform" your fucking Maildir. And give whoever reads this crap fucking brain cancer. Fucking shitadmins everywhere!!
