FUCK MY WEEK!
As you have seen I haven't ranted in a couple of days, thats because I didn't have time.
IT'S BECAUSE OF FUCKING SCHOOL!
SINCE TEACHERS AND CLASS THINK IT'S A FANTASTIC IDEA TO GO SHITTY ON A TEN WEEK CANUING TRIP WITH NO. FUCKING. INTERNET OR SOME EDIBLE FOOD(only fish/bread/vegetables (that's 10 days of only bread and water for me.....)) IN THREE WEEKS! Therefore ALL END OF THE YEAR SCHOOL WORK HAS TO BE DONE RIGHT NOW!
I barely have ANY free time right now and most importantly I CAN'T CODE!

They can't actually force you to go on the trip, can they? Doesn't seem legal to me.

@Stuxnet Well it's school tradition(has been done the last 5 years) l, peer pressure (I'm not that popular in class), the money has already been paid and it's a boarding school and all the students(except the 7th graders) are gone that 2 weeks.

I'd love to be in your shoes and take that trip! The return to the ancestral roots, the droplets of sweat as you open path through thick bushes, the menacing rocks penetrating those foamy rapids on the river, the frickin' owls spooking the (still living) shit out of you at night...

And then the serenity of the camp fire, the gang chirping this and that around you... The carcass of a flayed snake sizzling in the coals...

Oh man, you got me trippin' ! I envy you!

... Oh... No... How edgy, you will be away from your PC for a bit. What a shame. On the other hand, enjoy an experience you won't have many of. I will give you 1 piece of advise right now and I hope it helps you as much as it did me.
There is ALWAYS a choice. Do not be a passive passenger in your own life.

Personally I’d love a trip like that, but I really enjoy most outdoor things like climbing, kayaking, hiking etc. Although I don’t have a ton of work that needs to be done.

Out of interest why were you only eating bread and water? Where there no options with regards to dietary requirements etc?

@zarathustra i suppose he doesn't like vegetables. Too bad, we humans haven't evolved into omnivores for nothing, it's what allowed us to be so adaptable to most environments... But eh, to each their own

@wannabee true, but canoeing is a fairly physical activity, and only eating bread and drinking water for 10 days can’t be good for you.

You’d need protein etc to help your muscles recover etc at least, not to mention various vitamins and minerals that are needed for a healthy diet.

@zarathustra indeed, that's what i wanted to say in my previous comment but i drifted away into more philosophical aspects 😁 i can only hope he was joking, otherwise he'll learn a valuable lesson on nutrition adapted to physical activity. Here's some tasty nutrients for the road: 🍺🍻

    @wannabee
This is what they said will be made:
-fish bread (I can't eat fish, and it's horrible german bread, i.e. hard as a brick and black)
-vegetables(not even good ones, probably shitty salad)
-fruits (delicious normally, but they're from fucking germany where a lot of fruits aren't really sweet because of the lack of sunlight)
    - a grill one evening (really looking forward to that)

So, what you can see is that the main source of protein is fish.
I'll just have to fill most of the 30 litres of packing space with delicious Hungarian food.

@xzvf now i see what you mean. Consider this as a special occasion, where you'll need to overcome your comfort and ensure that your body receives a wide range of nutrients. Animal fats/proteins aren't quite replaceable, you'll need them for good body function.

I'd say enjoy your trip to the maximum, that'd be a lot better than feeling sorry for yourself. The computers are still going to be there when you return (hopefully North Korea will give up on nukes)

Here's for a safe and enjoyable adventure 🍻
