Some motherfucker leaked my e-mail address and now I am receiving some interesting spams.

Have a laugh.

    "Seems super legit."

    Did you use an alias? Or do you have any other way to find who leaked it?

    @Jilano I have an alias 'anti-spam@mydomain.tld'

    Which I use and share with everyone so that whenever I get bombarded with spam, I disable it for few days.

    But I have too many other aliases which I have messed up completely so technically no way to know it.

    The last one is actually true though. There's a bug in the Messages app that sends pictures to people at random.

    I like how every email is supposedly sent by the company but actually looks like a third-party article

    @Floydian i make a random 16char alias every time I subscribe somewhere. I save it in my keepass, so when I receive spam to this address, I know who sold it. I have a catchall domain, basically every email going to (alias)-me@domain.tld is coming into my inbox.

    @Artemix Thanks for the tip, you don't mind me using the exact same one for myself?
    And by the way, me being who I am, keepass always read as KeepAss... Please tell me I'm not alone .-.

    @TheOct0 "... Well, not anymore."

    @Jilano I'm sorry, do you want me to provide you with holy water to unsee my vision of it?

    @TheOct0 Nah, the nightmares will keep me company

    @DustInCompetent How dare you post my number?!

    Could be from TypeForm data breach. They lost a fuck ton of data from their backups. Many many companies use Type form for surveys and other things.

    @Floydian as @Artemix mentioned, you should have a catch-all instead and just always name it like "plex@domain.tld" or "gitlab@domain.tld" etc. so you directly see who leaked

    @JoshBent Yes. I knew this but was being lazy to do it.

    Lesson learnt.
