I just got slapped on a deadline that I will most likely not hit. This is after presenting the challenges and potential bug fixes that will need to be implemented before giving them something for the testers to play with. How do you guys deal with this? I'm starting to actually get real pissed off with these unreasonable time tables.

Best I can do is give them a half assed build. Fuck.

Tell them that their timetables and deadlines are unreasonable. If they don't listen or change, look out for a different job.

I tell them that it will be unlikely to get everything done and that we need to prioritise the requests. That way, the most important things will work when the deadline hits in, and the rest won't.

I don't do half-assed builds of everything because then nothing really works. Better have 50% good and 50% not implemented than having a 100% shitty.
