If you know what you’re doing, than it’s probably C, otherwise python is popular for it

I took datamining during my studies where we used python for language modelling and decision trees and things. Arguably not AI in that sense, but performance was definitely an issue when you were training larger models. Some students rewrote it all in other languages for that reason alone and they could train the same models in a fraction of the time.

That's just speaking of execution speed though. I've no idea how the different languages match up in terms of libraries and actual functionality. I suppose you could use pure CSS to write a bot that fears pain and demands political asylum.

I feel that go is a perfectly good and fast language that could run aML algo just fine. But then I'm also a bit of a masochist like that.

I wrote an answer regarding the myriad of factors regarding scope and implementation, cost, corporate availability etc. that would determine such things, and then realized no one cares.

My answer is all interpreted languages suffer at scale, all low level languages are a fucking pain to implement.

    HTML (Hyper Text Machine Learning)

Actually, it’s not Python. While it gets the job done, Lua is usually preferred for performance and library support reasons.

Since no one has mentioned it yet, Microsoft has a open source ML framework: https://github.com/dotnet/...

Language will just be a tool if you know what you are doing, it's not gonna make a difference.
