--- Giant corp, tech leads not really know how to be proper engineers and leverage the tools ---

We had a need to scale up, on demand some of our server apps. Plain horizontal scaling. Like when the CPU is more than 80%, bootstrap a clone and do a load balance.

AFAIK all major cloud services, offer such functionality with little extra configuration.

But no, some people are better than that. Amazon, Google, and Microsoft don't know about scaling, according to them.

So whats their proposed solution? We build an endpoint inside the service(s) we want to scale and when this endpoint is hit, the application clones itself. Just like Pokemon do.

It doesn't matter that now the servers are extremely under-utilized. What matters is that we don't need those cloud companies. And of course that our ego got a great boost.

Thank you for your time.
