So i have experience the last 7 days my phone have been extremely slow, so today i checked settings to find this nightmare 2.8/8 used. It started around few days after i updated to pie.... And No my phone isnt old, bought in mid 2018. Now i have to waste the day to fix this issue.

    Same here actually.. 4.7/8GB currently. I've read somewhere that OnePlus makes use of the oodles of RAM in their devices by preloading often used stuff. Maybe that's got something to do with it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    @Condor interresiting, i did some research yesterday, seems like a lot of people has lag problems after pie 9/9.1 come out in the 5T

    Android just works like that unfortunately. Apps u use wont be turned off conpletely if u close them. Because u 'could' use them again in a few minutes. To improve user experience and battery life, Android will keep stuff in memory to load apps faster and more efficiently.
    Thats why 4gb phones lag nowadays rly easy if u got no custom scheduler
