Why does !important get all the attention when we have !DOCTYPE running free?!

Because more people hate CSS for not being able to learn it than there are people who don't at least use the most basic HTML elements for their work and don't give a fuck about more specific elements since they can abuse the shit out of divs.

@AlgoRythm I only despise those who complain about CSS or HTML being shitty with the reason that they(!) can't do anything with it.

If you can't do it, don't blame HTML or CSS. If you don't want to learn further because it apparently isn't something for you, that's okay, too. But please don't make up bullshit about it because you, as an individual, can't do it.

My first reply was related to it. Because most people I see who -seriously- complain about !important, are the same people who post their complains about CSS or HTML being suuuuch a shitty thing.

@Alice The important thing is weird because you don't need the exclamation mark. There's no reason it needs to be there. I really feel like it was put there by CSS standard makers almost entirely to look more "code-y"

Because real devs don’t even use doctypes. They just add a <head> and a <body> and away you go.
