A recruiter from Amazon sent me a link to review the job description to see if I would be interested.

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience in C,,,,,? Does anyone?

    I'm not making this shit up. Have a look at it

    int main(int argc, **argv), int test =5, printf("%d", test), return 0;

    Ez just replace every { with , and every ; with , and every } with ;
  • 3
    Edit: Forgot the type on the second argument and I would fuck up initializer lists with replacing brackets with commatas.

    @PrivateGER but latest Perl is modern 😐

    @irene I've only ever seen it used in legacy code that's unreadable for any normal human being.

    @PrivateGER readable perl is possible

    @Elyz No, no. It's not a degree in ,. It's a degree in , Engineering, which is a completely different thing.

    modern programming languages... C and Perl... as opposed to what? Basic? COBOL?
    Just looked it up and C is from 1972, Perl from 1987.

    @ArcaneEye latest C standard was released in 2018. So C is pretty modern still. The latest Perl release was in 2018 as well.

    I tried applying to a job the other day where the drop down for degree only went to Dietetics and you couldn’t search beyond that. I was like “Crap. Does this just not get fixed because Computer Science comes before Dietetics?” (I double majored, but didn’t double degree so while Anth was a major, I can’t really say I have a degree in it and Psychology is way beyond Dietetics, so couldnae apply)

    Perl is modern, but dying in popularity. Our codebase is in perl, and our developers are as old as you think they are (all gray hair)

    @ThatPerlDeb so release version is from 2018 in the end.
