    When marketing try to fudge the numbers

    I don’t see it

    @xalys it's Chrome
  • 7
    Do they randomize the numbers?

    EDIT - these numbers are for Android

    How many extensions!?
  • 2
    Im pretty sure they loaded ton of extensions into firefox.

    Remember Edge is now using the chromium engine!
    So this makes perfect sense 🤔

    That could explain why the ominous "speed score" is lower for Chrome, because you installed a gazillion extensions into it. Your PC is also slower when you have Linux installed and a thousand background processes than Windows without any.

    @Fabian usually a Linux has fewer BG processes than a regular windows install

    Of course, that depends on what kind of user the Linux user is

    It's not my computer @Fabian it's a static webpage. Go to https://microsoftedgewelcome.microsoft.com/... and see you'll get the same exact score. I know I have a gazillion extensions but I use them all, mate.

    @retnikt 28 precisely.

    @KartSriv I didn't mean "you" in that sense, was probably badly worded. I didn't even know it was a real screenshot you made.

    But then I wonder what the caption "When you see it" means.

    @iamavalos in an iPhone you still somehow get the same score as android. Magic!
  • 0
    @iamavalos They found the resolution of the devices and determined it was an android phone because Edge is not available for iOS yet.
  • 0
    @iamavalos oops! My bad LOL

    holy jumping fucking shit balls, I thought it was an actual parody...

    Edge is on iOS, not that I know why on earth someone would use it.

    Microsoft Edge by Microsoft Corporation https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/...

    Also these benchmarks... if you will, are only valid for Windows 10 PC, so are invalid for mobile experience and browsers, but who cares about that right, some graph that magically can’t count, can’t compare to advertised devices either.

    Oh and it’s only comparing JavaScript run times.

    @C0D4 "Oh and it’s only comparing JavaScript run times." - LOL

    You know first people complain about chrome eating lots of RAM but then you see the shear amount of extensions of the browser
