Short-term setup till I build my new workplace at home. Any cool ideas that I could use? I will build the new table etc. by myself.

Desk Space! 80, even preferably 90cm to a meter depth, screen(s) on an arm.. Huge mousepad and a docking for that lapflop to get it out of your way.

The rest is your preference.. mood lighting led strips behind the screen, desk, etc. A plastic Ikea plant or 2, cable management, power sockets/strip.

Edit: move the fuck away from the heating!

    Go loose! Make it yours!

Yeah, why in the world would you set up a monitor right next to a radiator? My tip: don't do that.

@xewl I planned on getting 90cm depth and about 180-190cm width. The plastic plants are a great idea and cable management is a must haha.

The heater is turned off :) I won‘t place my stuff there if it‘s on. :) But thanks for the recommendation though! The new desk will be in another corner of the room anyway. :D

@bahua Yep. I won‘t do that on the new setup. Turned off at the moment. It‘s warm enough there from March till August (room is under the roof)

@Besi well yea. I have it on in Firefox. I just swapped to Microsofts Chromium to test it out. I should have changed that earlier. :D

@dotneterror I have a kitchen table as a desk, 90/190, so maybe there's something you can look for in that regard.

Some outlet stuff in a local store might let you have a win/win situation here :)

@xewl Yes. I kinda like 90/190 because my wall where I will place the setup is 200.

I already though about buying a kitchen table :D I see I'm not the only one.

Desk pad (mousepad), monitor mount, mic and webcam with mount arms. They make a woooorrrld of difference and are easy to do

@bytecode Would be cool but I‘m not sure about that

@dotneterror yeah, don't do it, it is hard to cool, hard to maintain and hard to move
