    Not a rant

Not an iPhone issue - can happen from any device with iTunes.

Also who purchases music through itunes😅

@C0D4 who purchases music? I mean, I put together discographies for any musician I like. Ahem piratebay ahem

@fuck2code I can't say I've purchase a song since the CD era, but even that was short lived with "digital albums" ahem limewire / kazaa

@C0D4 if I could buy mp3s or flacs DRM free i'd be more than happy to do that. But I won't let streaming services fuck me in the ass
  • 2
@fuck2code that would be nice. DRM was a double edged sword for the industry really. "We don't want you to share" vs "well that hurt more then we expected"

@C0D4 the only reason I want to make a debit card is so that I can buy shit on gog.com

@fuck2code can't say I've been a big fan of gog. But they do have the occasional game or two.

I tend to spend my monies with humblebundle more then anyone.

"Privacy. That's iPhone." - Current Apple advertisement.

Who wouldn't have thought Apple breaks it sooner or later.

@norman70688 literally no one. Actually one person but she already wanted to delete it and that was the last straw

I switched to iPhone in April. Lol pray for me.

@C0D4 doesn't every iPhone have iTunes? not an apple user so idk
  • 1
@git-gud it does. But you're not forced to use it or purchase songs. There's alternative ways for that like
    Streaming or importing your own.

@C0D4 that seems pretty disingenuous, after all the appeal of an iphone is having such things installed, and as far as i know that's what apple is using to advertise. you're technically correct, but the iphone and the apple ecosystem are supposed to be used together, so i'd argue that this slogan includes usage of itunes, safari and the likes.

@git-gud for the average iPhone user, sure, the ecosystem would prefer you to use only apple's apps where possible, but not all iPhone users meet the norm.

As for browsers, they are built on top of safari so it makes no real difference besides using a browser you already sync everything with.
