Wtf is that envp? And also: what is that ugly <=??
  • 11
@b3b3 envp is the environmental pointer, it will contain all ur env variables.
And the font-style, there is a similar plugin for it in vscode. I tried using it 🤔🤔. Didn't last for more than 5 minutes. 🤣🤣🤣

@TheUchihaGirl well thats what I'd have guessed but wtf. Isnt there a getenv()?
  • 3
@b3b3 yup there is. But envp gives you an array of env variables whereas getenv() will return the value of a single env variable.
One can use any of them based on what they are trying to achieve.

It might have been impressive if microsoft added the features twenty+ years ago alongside unix.

Also, that is an absolutely beautiful terminal.

"Nobody:" what? Syntax highlighting? Tabs? Less-or-equals character? Does this "joke/meme" have a point?
  • 3
    @VaderNT the point is this:

    Nobody: does nothing
Windows Terminal: *bad drawing of a windows terminal*
  • 5
@dudeking what makes it bad? And I seriously don't see the point. Is this some sort of low-effort Windows bashing? Or would "Nobody: Bash: *ugly screenshot of bash*" be funny in the same way? What about "Nobody: Linux: *image of Tux*"?
  • 1
@VaderNT I don't even know how to explain it to you really

It's ugly but it's a step in the right direction. The new rendering system and uprooted inner workings are exciting. And of course, tabs are nice

@AlgoRythm i find it pretty. Is it the glass look what other people dislike?
