After 7 long long years, today I reach the stage of being solvent !

Hurray !

A few more months and I'll be totally out of debt.

Lesson there = don't get into debt..

FX [ Wonders if adding the word 'solvent' to his dating profile will make him magically more attractive or not.. ]

So: do not go to college, do not buy a house until you got enough money.

Old internet speak for "Effects", eg:

    FX [ Sneezes. ]

Special effects (often abbreviated as SFX, SPFX, or simply FX) are illusions or visual tricks used in the film, television, theatre, video game and simulator industries to simulate the imagined events in a story or virtual world.

Someplace I think I have a very old manual I can scan a page out of which mentions this !

For some reason it doesn't appear easy to find via google..

    Nowadays you all use:

I notice my rather old phone only recognises the :-) and turns it into a face, everything else sent to it comes out only as a blank square !

I've updated most of my dating profiles, so will see if there is any difference.

Most of them have it as their first line in my bio description..

I can imagine I'll get messages saying something like:

"Why do you say you are solvent in your first line, do you think we are only after you for your money!"

Yeah, otherwise why did you bother writing to me in the first place..

Never knew "solvent" was used to refer to "being debt free", but yeah it's an awesome feeling :)

Ah well, solvent means your assets exceeds your debt.

    > having assets in excess of liabilities; able

    > to pay one's debts.

    I'm still in debt. :-(

But soon to be out of it.

(Before the end of this year.)

Adding any display of wealth to your dating profile will make you bankrupt again because gold digger whores will target you, and you're not the one to notice anything once they start to drain your bank account through your cock.

I'm only allocating a set amount per year to the gold diggers, as such when that money runs out, no more will be forth coming !

It will be interesting to see if any of them last more than 24 hours before finding another Mr Right..

I reckon I can afford enough for about 3 months worth of a 'relationship', once a year..

Call it a test of a theory..

Though I've already tested it pretty well against half a million women and not a single one of them is interested in me as me, only if I can pay for dinner.

I find it very hard to believe that the 500,001 non-gold digger exists !

    But we'll see every 3 months won't we !

I can live with that, happiness for 3 months, and then it ends.

I won't be throwing good money after bad.

Think of it as an expensive hobby like golf..

@Nanos instead of Ec2 on demand instances you should try the reserved instances for a longer term relationship, it's cheaper with the same quality anyway. Just my 2 cents..

Sadly reserved instances are unavailable in my region.
