does anyone else feel like reactjs complicated web components... what happened to the KISS principle... why isnt anyone using lit-elements(polymer), which to me feels like the most valid or practical way to implement web components...

    Vue seems nice though.

I usually norice the difference between sites coded in React vs those that use Vue. It's very easy to notice that React sites tend to be more sluggish, which I blame on the commonly used "posed" library, now available for Vue too. Fuck that lib.

@kescherRant i have to be honest, i havent used vuejs for dev, i just cloned a repo with a simple vue component implementation and it seems more reasonable for developing web components than reactjs... basically i dont see the point of not using w3c standards as base foundation of building web components... if its working well, add to it, dont replace it.. might build an app in vuejs for the added experience

"Let's force users to let us run tons of unreadable code on their machine in order to read a tiny bit of text!"

    Yeah, I hate frontend.

@Root ha! but front end has its own beauty if done well... its the monotonous paragdigms of coding front end that gets me frustrated sometimes

@wisefoolkp Don't get me wrong, I enjoy designing and building them. I just hate that they exist and force me to allow javascript in order to see anything at all on the page.

@Root I get what you mean, but we have to agree that they have really helped modularized the front end and simplified/improved client side routing... there were times i used to despair when i had to write a html file, endless lines of tags and confusion... the horror.. and after i finished i couldn't bundle and publish(locally, i use verdaccio) the common sections that i feel i could use in other projects without having to rewrite them

The only thing I know about polymer is that YouTube is a sluggish piece of shit since they've switched to it... So that's one reason not to use it
