    This guide works 100%, just download this app for free and it will work.

    the 7 Pro was fairly easy - still waiting for an unlock token from oneplus though.

    @ParkCity not always. The first thing I did when I received the OnePlus is updating it (A slot 10.0.2, B slot 10.0.3). I've successfully installed TWRP on slot A after many failures on slot B.

    Unfortunately, I followed the official tutorial from xdadevelopers and they didn't edit out mistakes. Long story short, bootloader loop, OxygenOS is no longer installed on slot A.

    I flashed the newest version of OxygenOS onto slot A (BA version) and from this point on I'm unable to install TWRP. Furthermore, downgrading weirdly enough didn't fix the issue.

    idk, maybe you've an idea why it isn't working.

    @PublicByte I've lost so much respect for XDA over the years, man

    @ParkCity is there a better alternative? I still want to root my OnePlus 7 Pro.

    @PublicByte like i said, still in process. Getting it into the bootloader was easy enough, but to flash images i have to first flash an unlock token which you request from oneplus

    @ParkCity I didn't need an OEM unlock code 🤔

    @PublicByte it's a case by case thing, some people get the device IMEI locked (like mine), and some people don't need the unlock token image and can flash twrp/new roms right away
