Spaces produce bigger binary when compiled from code then tabs.
Ladies and gentleman, this was my friend who studied computer science at University.

    I personaly find tabs easier to use because i dont have to pay attention to the amount of spaces.

    Multiple spaces will make a bigger code file... but compiler just dosent care about them...

    @Gregozor2121 i just use both. Exactly. Compiler doesnt care. It produces assembly. But he thought that since its spaces it has to produce bigger binary. That was one of many arguments over things he had no clue about. Tried to explain countless times but he still would not listen. Fuck it then.

    @Haxk20 99% of people that i have met in university dont have any clue what they are doing. You gotta judge people by their skills not by uni...

    Those parasites are downfall of our species...

    @Gregozor2121 i absolutely agree. We then wonder why our technology runs like crap when company hires people based on their university and not skills. Im trying to get a job and well multiple times sent my CV to companies. No response i guess because im still only a high school student. Really sad. Hopefully 2020 will bring me some luck there.

    Please put the citation inside quotes the next time. At thirst I thought that was your opinion...

    @Benedikt my bad. Totally forgot to do so.

    @Haxk20 Interesting friend. Please make sure he will never code anything. Let do something harmless - like digging ditches or something manual. Like coding a new js framework for example.

    Made my day.

    The sad part of the story is not, that he doesn't know that (you cannot know anything), but that he is too lazy to use the less than 5 minutes to find out by just implementing two versions of Hello World.

    @ddephor Not just that, but it also shows a very ignorant view of how compilers work. Once you write a tokenizer you would see how silly that thinking would be. Heck, even just writing a regex script would give you some insight pretty quickly.

    @Haxk20 CERN hires highschool folks right off the bat if you wanna give it a shot πŸ˜‹

    @Haxk20 Not willing to relocate? I came from Italy :)

    @ddephor you cannot know anything? Wow, what a deep philosophical statement.

    Bunch of noobs discussing tabs vs spaces, and here I am, no indentation at all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  • 1
    @gitpush wow. I mean wow. Just be like me. Use both. Let them fight.
  • 1
    @Haxk20 sounds good, bringing 🍿🀠
  • 1
    @gitpush ohhhh popcorn.
    /Haxk20 grabs popcorn and sits dont next to @gitpush to watch people fight over tabs and spaces.
  • 1
    @Haxk20 OR gitpush starts a fight for the popcorn and ask haxx to get his own πŸ˜’πŸ˜‚

    Bottom line is: tabs, spaces or popcorn, there will always be a fight *feeling wise πŸ€“*

    @gitpush /haxk20 grabs his popcorn bag and sits down again.
    Now silence and watch.

    @Haxk20 I did not see that coming πŸ˜‚

    Who knows maybe i will get it. Well that well that would be hella cool.

    I had to stop being friends with a lot of people in uni, because every friendly attempt to help them academically was a useless attempt and ended up setting me back
