I wanted to ask some of you who might know better, i have been working as a backend developer in a tech company for about 8 months now. This is my first ever job so dont know about other companies. Is it common that frontend teams get more spotlight interms of features than backend ? Is this common or is it just the company i work for?

I think it's easier to Show off fancy shmancy features in front-end to non-tech people than it is to explain back-end features. It seems front-end stuff hast more impact on non-tech people

Yes. It's a double-edged sword, though, because frontend also gets the bug reports first even when not their fault.

Yeah that’s normal. The front end is the shiny thing the users can see.
