Person 2: "Should be free"
Person 3: "Was perfect until he asked for money, going back to <sells your privacy> and <other app that hasn't been updated in 3 years>"
It just means your app isn't important enough to their daily life to justify paying for it. Ands that's perfectly fine.
I have Airpods but since I'm on Android, I can't get the batter percentage without a 3rd party app. Since I need to use it almost daily, I had no problem paying $1 to remove the ads. (Shit I paid $150 for the airpods, might as well pay another to not have ads lol).
But there's a game I used to play and it had ads. It was like $3 to remove them but since it was something I don't need, I had no desire to pay $3 for it. Thats fine too.
molaram218543dWhat did you think will happen dumbass? That's what you get for giving something away for free in the first place. oH I aM An OpEnSouRcE AuThoR ToO but we have to split the bill...
Turn the fucking thing off right now then rebrand it, improve it and bring it back after a while on a sub model.
RIP THEM OFF
Beat them up and take their shit. Fuck them and their kids just let them starve.
lol, I feel the pain. I also feel sorry since I've been the bad guy several times now :)
I do pay for a few essentials, like Mastodon, etc., but paying a few dollars for multiple apps is hard especially when I have to maintain an expensive Steam addiction.
There used to be this idea by the PirateBay guys, where you could assign $10 every month which would get distributed across the apps/websites you like/upvote/subscribe to. If I could control my app spend like that I would do things differently.
zemaitis292742dI find myself sometimes spending hundreds a month for takeaway yet feel bad when paying 14 euros for my netflix subscription or the fact that I had to purchase google drive subscription which costs me less than 2 euros a month. I literally was fighting with my storage limits for months and was so stubborn about avoiding spending extra couple euros. While simultaneuously wasting hundreds in other areas. So fucking stupid.
