    @thmnmlst Yo! "What's Up"?

    More importantly you need to run
    adb logcat

    More time's than not, it's because you're referencing a Null Pointer

    also make sure everything is up to date in your androidmanifest.xml file

    @tisaconundrum it's probably that but here's what I get as an error lately that breaks. The main activity XML has this as an error.

    Idk what needs to be in
    tools:context=""

    @wubstepper in context you want the name of the file that is referencing that XML file
    For example.
    I'm using mainAct.java and using mainAct.xml
    so the code
    tools:context="com.user.appName.mainAct" would go in the Layout part of the code

    @tisaconundrum so I'm using a 3rd party base login and register so it would be tools:context="info.androidhive.loginandregistration.mainAct"
    ????

    @wubstepper tools:context="info.androidhive.loginandregistration.<name of java file that is using this layout goes here>"

    @tisaconundrum so
    tools:context="info.androidhive.loginandregistration.mainAct.java"

    There's always an error in any piece of code. No exceptions.
