Am I the only one that has a file along the lines of impress.py that literally just prints a bunch of programming buzzwords and random numbers to the terminal, in order to impress non-programmer friends?

Windows batch or a bash script is enough for that :P

I still remember the days when I would open a command prompt and type "tree" to make people think I was hacking.

Nowadays I usually have a terminal open anyway since I'm always popping in and out of it to do things, so just normal usage of my system impresses them.

But if you want to really go for overkill, you can get something that looks like TV/Movie hacking with this: https://github.com/dustinkirkland/...
