Moved from Slack to Microsoft Teams at work. Teams UI is horrible. Doesn't use system notifications it has its own crappy popups. (Running the Linux Client) I hate everything about it.

Everyone should just go back to using IRC.

    There seem to be so many great libre/open-source projects covering this market, yet no one seems to use them...

    God yes, the Teams popups are so retarded... And it just asserts itself into all activities too, so on KDE it just makes me check off more checkboxes to stop poluting my desktop.

    Microsoft on Linux sucks ass

    We use telegram, works fine

    They moved us to teams over webex, and I'm honestly fine with that. The shitmunchers in nontechnical positions switched to teams for chat, but we got a dispensation for slack, because of all the operational slackbots we run.

    We use Rocket.Chat works well for us

    @bahua Do you think writing a dozen operational discord, telegram or xmpp bots will make management consider a change?

    works fine on Windows with option to change to system notifications. Teams isn't overengineered as slack.

    @Lor-inc

    If you can prove that they add value, and cannot be done in teams(which costs them nothing, if they're paying for office and outlook), then sure.

    Always agree with any sentence that contains the string 'go back to using IRC'. =)

    @RogueScholar Everyone should die so I can go back to using IRC.

    I used to use Irssi but now I'm using hexchat.

    > teams(which costs them nothing, if they're paying for office and outlook)

    That explains why my company switched to Teams for internal chat/groups.

    I just need a way to quickly send and receive messages. Is it so hard to do?
