Summer is the worst fucking time of year. Change my mind.

    @heyheni Europe... it's too fucking hot for me and there's not really a "weather". It's just all sunny and boring. Besides that every idiot is sitting outside until 2:00 AM making fucking drunk noises and listening to music so fucking loud I'd like to cut my ears off...

    We are clearly not from the same part of Europe, it has been raining almost every single day, the past few weeks.

    It’s better to be homeless in summer then in winter. Trust me.

    I hated summer when I lived in Texas and the various deserts. 40c+ for more than 100 days a year is trash.

    Now that I live in Seattle, I love summer. Barely peaks over 20 most days.

    @SortOfTested sounds like a dream!

    I love the long days that summer brings - but I can't stand the heat.

    I'd pick Summer over any other season provided I get enough water to keep me hydrated

    Your typical summer in middle western Germany.

    Types of days:
    1: Unbreathable air when it's hot and raining.
    2: Merciless heat.
    2: Cold as fuck.

    Those appear at random intervals over the week.
    I prefer early spring and winter.

    @Frederick Netherland or Germany.
    It's one of both.
    We've had so much fucking rain over the last weeks my garden fucking drowned

    @heyheni no, summer is just bad

    Because of our ongoing terraforming project, there seem to be no seasons anymore.
    So as summer isn't even a thing anymore - how can it be bad?

    As a lifelong Southern Floridian, I love the heat, and get cold in 70 degree offices.

    But personal opinions aside, traffic is so much more bearable during summer. Without the young ones traveling to school, I can usually get to work 10-20 minutes faster and with less trouble.

    With no baseball or events.... yeah it sucks.

    @Oktokolo

    Ha "ongoing terraforming project" love it! Stealing it and using it in every conversation about global warming i ever have.

    @M1sf3t The coast? I am about a mile from it. Why?
  • 0
    @M1sf3t I'm around Downtown Palm Beach, along the open ocean. I used to work near where a school let out their students. It made my drive home 20 minutes longer, and my drive there 10 minutes longer. The traffic lasted for hours. But during the summer it was much nicer.

    @M1sf3t when i first landed in Kuwait it was 122 f. It took a few months to get used to those temps. But my body did adapt. I think with these strong higher than normal temps in Europe coupled with only week long or weeks long runs so bodies cannot adapt it would be hell. Living in Louisiana your entire life made your body adapt to those temps.

    @M1sf3t ha. Camp arifijan is calling you back

    @superposition
    Better use the term "climate catastrophe" in actual discussions.
    Not as nerdy and still less an euphemism than "climate change".

    @M1sf3t farther up north where i was in Mosul you actually got cold weather and rain season.

    @Oktokolo idk the terraforming project really rings home with me

    @superposition
    Yep. I grew up in a desert. We got snow every year. We also got hot AF. It's basically hell. Yeah, fuck deserts.

    Just fyi I'm braving venturing out inn society right now and am drinking heavily watching people more retarded than me ingratiate themselves at tables making worse fools of themselves. 3 girls took my table while i was smoking then acted all diva when i retrieved my beer from said table. Went to corner they just ingratiated themselves at another table of guys. Looks like they are trying to get drinks. I'm so glad i dress like a bum when i go out. People just assume I'm broke.

    @superposition

    Come to Sweden and maybe you will enjoy the summer 🙂 2 weeks ago it was around 30 degrees for a week or so but that is really warm for being Sweden. Usually it is around 20 degrees. In Sweden it is not common with air condition and the houses are built for cold weather so in my appartment it was also around 30 degrees but usually it is alright.
