Why do people put so much rbg in to their computers, rather than going for a more solid monochrome look or something?

RGB looks fucking bad, fight me

I have all my lights currently switched to red, but I still want to have the possibility to switch all to e. g. green if I feel like it

I played with my RGB stuff (couldn't choose something different) for about a minute when I first got it before turning it off.

The most useful settings I found was the ones tied to the temperatures. You could for example have the RGB change from green to red depending on how hot your components (e.g. CPU, GPU, etc.) were running.

    Nah, it looks shit.

You don’t even like an RGB keyboard or mouse? That’s the only RGB I care about

It's been proven through scientific studies that RGB may provide more FPS. It also increases the 1337 points acquiring rate.

@theKarlisK They also help you to get laid. If you remember one or Stuxy's old rant (@Stuxnet), he got so much boys and girls right after putting RGB on his fidget spinner. It was crazy.

    @Jilano it blew my mind.

Had to turn a few down. Was hella tragic

@Stuxnet Some have to learn the hard way. Next time you should settle on RGB nipple piercing!

Green on all devices looks sick.

@PrivateGER gives me 2007-esque vibes with razer making super bright green leds and it looked like you summoned a green demon in your room

I think it's pretty. I'm setting up my desktop to change colors when I change the background in my free time... I also just got a g910 which can be programmed with lua, so now I'll have my keyboard change its colors depending on the background too! It's gonna be so pwetty!

Anyways, I don't see why colors are bad? It's aesthetics, nothing else.

@Kandelborg Single color is ok, if it's static. A monochrome look
But when it's all colors at the same time it looks like shit

@frogstair it can e.g be a pulsating green that dims after 5 minutes idle. Also with changes on key pressed to change color to white. Or a blue dimmed nightsky with randomly light orange/yellow keys

Or two contrasting colors changing place which could be done in various places on the keyboard

Many, and for individually programmable rgb keys it's a hell of a lot of possibilities, when you facter in key pressed/released and actual scripting 🤩

I get the hate on rainbows but there's literally any other possibility or combination.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE. It's so fucking distracting, and I avoid it whenever possible.

@Jilano I'd love to have like a meter for stuff, like temp/cpu/gpu/ram usage, that's a row of LEDs going from green to yellow to red, like a peak meter on audio equipments, but i'd have to basically write a driver and make that shit myself from total scratch. Windows drivers suck dick to use, much less WRITE.
