Why the heck do Asus and other laptop manufacturers do not launch their laptop in India on a schedule. The laptops appear as suddenly as the time Thanos takes to wipe the universe after the snap. They just appear. The laptops are not following the schedule announced after the coronavirus lockdown. So on my birthday I asked my parents for a laptop because my old laptop is so slow that it takes a few seconds for it to just build a simple small react hello world app with webpack. So I got the Asus TUF A15 with the ryzen 7 4800H processor and gtx 1660 ti graphics card. The Asus TUF A15i s the only amd 4000 series laptop in India except a the Asus TUF A17 and Acer swift.

l actually wanted the zephyrus g14 it had no webcam which was a requirement but I was gonna use my phone as a webcam by using a software called droid cam or buy a separate webcam but it was very expensive to import from Newegg the Asus TUF A15 was 1 lakh while the g14 was 20 to 30 thousand rupees more expensive online at local it was at least 50,000 rs more expensive with all taxes with the AMD Ryzen 9 4900 HS processor in G14 and 1660 ti and the Asus TUF A15 with the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H and 1660 ti but the laptop was far lighter 1.6 kg vs 2.3 kg tuf a15 had far better battery life of 8 hours vs the battery life 3 hours on the Asus TUF A15 and had better speaker and had wifi 6 and far better colour accuracy 95 percent srgb vs tuf a15's 45 percent and had better cooling than the tuf a15 's infamous cooling exposed by hardware unboxed and a anime matrix screen on the back and was just 1 inch smaller .

Then I guess what they had quality control issues from Asus and they gave a 1650 ti in the 1660 to version of the 4800 h laptop and my local retailer cannot get the 1660 ti versions and it is out of stock at every fucking online store unless you import it from USA which is expensive and takes longer . So I kept my laptop and got a good amount of money back .

Then the next day hp launches the omen 15 with the amd 4000 processors and has better colour accuracy. Then after a few days it is prime day which is today in out country the G14 is launched in the evening in India which is bundled with the webcam if I saw the marketing correctly on the Asus India site. While according to a meeting with digit the fucking laptop was supposed to come in June or July and it is fucking August and it is prime day launch and we are prime members and have ordered a bunch of stuff already.

But here is the kicker the same speced model with the more power efficient cpu and the gtx 1660 ti I was supposed to get is only slightly more expensive I just don't get the full spec model with the 4900 hs and rtx 2060 in India but that does not matter it will probably appear out of nowhere in a few hours. I am sacrificing some for a lot more. Also getting a laptop at us rate or slightly higher takes a long time and the occassion of that happening is prime day when I have brought a laptop and I regret not waiting for another month when I have waited 2 months

Modi's new Chinese product tariffs, and rumors of pending wholesale protectionist electronics tarriffs to come have made Chinese and Taiwanese companies wary of doing business with India in the short term. They're delaying and limiting shipments of everything for the foreseeable future so they don't potentially end up with products impounded by customs awaiting ruling on what duties they owe.

Don't worry that a better specced cheaper computer came out after you bought your own. That is always going to happen. Especially in India prices for computers, phones, and other electronics are wacky because of constantly changing government rules and tariffs etc.

You sound very young and rather well off if your parents are buying you a laptop for your birthday.

Just focus on learning, on turning their investment in you into something positive. When you start earning money making those react apps, then you won't worry so much about getting the cheapest, highest-spec computer, promise!
