So i backed up my whole system and deleted all files last night , ready to get an ssd upgrade. Only to be told by every nearby shop that they don't have an ssd available and it would take 1-3 days to get one. Asked 1 guy to get it who will be putting the ssd tomorrow evening.

Fml. Now i have a totally empty laptop and no work to do :/

Why are you buying SSD offline?

Even all the stores know that there's no point in buying an ssd offline. They will order it online for you if you don't do it yourself.

    Hence the wait..

Never do this unless you already have the drive with you. The question is not offline vs online

you wiped your drive before you got the new one??

@asgs i got the whole backup in a 2 tb external hdd. Just being lazy to copy my data back

@F1973 because the repair guy would not then get his cut from the ssd cost and would make lame excuses if stuff doesn't work

@kurast This. People will sell old machines or remove old parts *before* getting the new one on hand then complain about not having a working machine. It's stupid
