    Symphonic metal

I know it sounds weird, but Nightwish makes some of the most coding-compatible music I've tried.

@Demolishun there is people out there that codes listening reggaeton, if you don't know what that is, is the "new" cancer for latin american people, one of the major causes of impoverishment and violence

Silence. A very beautiful song by mother nature
  • 2
@codecrow the starting is rip off from the narcos. The remaining song is probably some ripoff from another english video. Modern punjabi songs are so shit i hate what those dumbcopiers are doing to the proud punjabi Folk music

    I enjoy Heavy Metal.

Heavy shit, mostly metal, but otherwise also a little bit of electronica, hip-hop, jazz, alternative, soundtracks... But it depends on the mood and whether I feel like listening to anything at all.

A lot of beatless/ambient kind of stuff. For those of you who haven't checked it out yet, this is pretty cool - http://musicforprogramming.net/?one

I don't really know the genres of the shit I listen to, I just do. But I think it's hip hop/rap (Eminem, 50 cent), some indie stuff (half alive, hippie sabotage), some electronic stuff (2scratch, prismo), some Brazilian trap (Sidoka, Matuê, Kalli), and occasionally some lofi.

    Drift music

    Anime Trap Mixes

I really like Trip Hop or some of that LowFi music.

GameChops have the "and Chill" series, and my favorite so far is Zelda and Chill.

  • 2
also MGK for casual coding, if i feel like im being cool or whatnot
  • 2
A mix of a bunch of genres, but usually either Progressive House or Classic Rock. Anything upbeat and energetic is good. Keeps me awake when the caffeine hasn't kicked in yet.
  • 1
@deadlyRants Agreed! Though, I think the definition of "symphonic" is a bit fluid... I consider Kamelot and Serenity to fit, but some don't. It's all good though!

A lot of stuff. Really depends upon the mood.

    Metal (Classic, Death, and Black)
    Prog Rock.
    Classic Rock.
    Instrumental.
    Blues or Psychedelic Rock.

Mood drives music and then music drives the mood.
  • 1
Mostly metal. Sometimes some classic rock

I listen to a lot of black metal, so I stick with that when coding. Otherwise NPR. For non Americans, this is National Public Radio, it’s pretty great. Lots of classical music.
