Fucking hell!!!

I am working peacefully and all of a sudden laptop keyboard stops functioning.

What even god damn fuck is this?? Out of the blue this Lenovo pos thinks it can go dead!!

And the mice stops responding. The music continues to play in the background. Total dramatic tragedy.

I cannot even restart because everything just froze. Had to hit the power button to kill this machine.

Well great. Let's power up and pray to spaghetti monster for this metal crap to work.

IT WON'T FUCKING START. WHAT!!!!!!! I HAVE IMPORTANT TASKS TO COMPLETE TODAY.

FUCKING BOOOOOT UP.

Luckily I got to save my last session files before things went south.

And now while we are stuck on Windows loading screen for 5 minutes, I get an opportunity to type this rant.

I'll keep you all MoFos updated.

I think @C0D4 sent you his updates

    PS: Face reveal! :D
  • 3
@Jilano well I have already a face reveal last time. Like a proper one.
  • 3
@F1973 Shhh don't ruin it! It's better when half shrouded in mystery

By the way, can you configure your laptop or is it managed by the IT department? If you can, there might be few things to tweak in the GPO

    Holy fuck balls!!!

The Floyd has a reflection, but.. it's not Floyd, there's more hair on this guys head then his beard.

Close the laptop, get a sim tray opener and stick it to your laptops small hole (usually at right IO panel.)

You should hear a click and laptop should open to bios's recovery mode. From there, try to enable USB devices and get the boot to legacy first.

Should fix the mouse issue and enable any spare linux boots to recover files before resetting or some kind of that shit.
  • 2
    @melezorus34 what, they're phones now?
  • 6
@Parzi I mean you can insert sim to some models and...

The hole is small and my needle is fragile.

(No, don't make a that's what she said joke wtf)
  • 2
    Windows-ception.
  • 2
@melezorus34 "The hole is small and this needle is fragile" i mean i use sewing needles to pop DVD drives, it's not fun and can easily blow through your fingertip/thumbtip but y'know
put it on the underside of your nail and push and hope it stays on your finger. Works... usually.

Well my laptop keyboard from lenovo also stopped working but I have broken its screen 1 time by accidentally falling it and losing some its screws while opening it and also accidentally bit the backsite to a stair which half opened the laptop internals on the side so no wonder the keyboard stopped working
  • 2
@Parzi Yea, that's why I chose the sim tray opener, you can even use some 0.5mm ballpoint pens but it's annoying. That opener is already optimized.
  • 2
@AkshayTolwani I guess it served you well based on the conditions.
  • 1
@melezorus34 Yes it served me well for 6 years
  • 2
@Jilano I can configure it. This is my personal one.

    @C0D4 you jealous babe huh!!

@melezorus34 let me hunt down my Linux bootable USB that I created for such occasions. I doubt it would allow me into USB boot mode.

Wasn't able to get into BIOS too. Still stuck on loading screen.

    @rutee07 lol good one.
  • 2
@F1973 I wish @C0D4 would show his face so we know if he actually looks like his son @Jilano.
  • 1
@F1973 as I said shut down your pc completely and press that button.

    Example https://photos.app.goo.gl/364NFmVNE...
  • 1
@melezorus34 somehow got to this after hitting F2, F11, and F12 a million times.

I have no clue why it takes so much time even to show manufacturer's logo.
  • 0
And now it gives some watch dog error...

And asked me to read some shit at windows.com/stopcode
  • 2
And these are on and off steps I see in there..

    What the fuck!!!
  • 1
@F1973 have you tried booting to bios and disabling security chip temporarily? Sometimes it helps to fix the repair tool, somehow.
  • 2
Just enter the system recovery mode via Novo button and go into safe mode
  • 0
@melezorus34 I am unable to get into BIOS. System wouldn't detect F2 or any key upon boot up.

I tried this ON and OFF method. Stuck in same loop.

And now my Wi-fi stopped working for some weird fucking reason.

    @melezorus34 what's novo button?
  • 1
@F1973 the side button didn't work too? Dang, can't help then.
  • 1
@F1973 the small recovery button on lenovo laptops. I posted an example usage of it to show how it works too.
  • 2
@melezorus34 you mean pin hole next to this inverted arrow?

Shall I shit down and then insert the pin?

Ah, windows flashbacks. I gotta go hug my MacBook again. I bet @NoMad was behind this all.

All that watchdog errors but you never watched me when I wanted to be your dog
  • 0
@melezorus34 I shut down my laptop and clicked that a couple of times via a pin.

Then hit the power button and same. Let me try again..
  • 1
@uyouthe no the puupy shaped watch.
  • 1
@melezorus34 something new now. I shut it down and the press and held the novo button.

It's booting but taking same time to load manufacturer's logo.

Hopefully I get into novo mode.
  • 0
@melezorus34 nothing happened and now we are back to Windows loading screen.
  • 5
@Jilano He said "shit down and insert the pin", hee hee.

I'll see myself out. Hope someone fixes your issue.

  • 1
    @melezorus34 bro.. this somehow worked.

I turned it off for approx 2/3 minutes while I was reading a solution article which said drain the power out.

So I decided to do that and used the novo method to turn on.

Got the manufacturer's logo instantly and now I have the novo screen in front of me.

Can you guide me what to do next?
  • 0
@melezorus34 my WiFi is back and keyboard is also detected since I am able to go up and down on menu.
  • 1
@F1973 bios or system recovery with safe mode
  • 0
    @melezorus34 in bios

    What should I change?

With the boot speed it felt things would be normal.
  • 1
@F1973 you can insert your recovery stick if you found it ır reboot to novo and use system recovery
  • 1
@melezorus34 alright. Let me give it a try. I don't have a recovery disk.

It went into automatic repair and quickly done. Now diagnosing the pc as I type this.
  • 1
    @melezorus34 reached this far.

    Which path shall I take?
  • 2
@melezorus34 I did a normal Windows 10 boot and I am into my system.

Let me first recover the most important file I was working on before this shit happens again.
  • 2
@melezorus34 typing this from machine. Thanks bro for saving my life.
  • 4
@rutee07 "Oh I'm gonna fix your issues alright!"
  • 4
@rutee07 @Jilano holy fuck! In the heat of the moment I didn't read the comment and typo was fucking hilarious.

    Yes, almost shat my pants.

Press Linux to stop be fucking in ass
  • 0
@unclesam I want to try Linux.

Only if I retain my existing apps.
  • 2
@F1973 and I present you rEFInd!
    Use linux with "Windows" bootloader
  • 1
@melezorus34 how do I do it?

Can you share any tutorial link or something?
  • 2
@F1973 I need to get my notes so, uh, expect it tomorrow as a rant?
  • 0
@melezorus34 perfect. Looking forward to it.
  • 2
@Parzi a paper clip is usually better than a needle though, and less dangerous
  • 2
@cafecortado I had a paper clip and used it actually. Haha coincidence..
