Should I put this certificate on resume in the future. I am asking because the year I gave it was the last year of the competition and then it was discontinued. Not blurring name beacuase my username is my name so it
does not make any difference

I never even look at certs, they're so aggressively gamed here that they are of no value.

Depends on your resume, if you got room, sure. Someone might like it, if not no big deal.

@SortOfTested Let's not forget where OP is from.

Job market values certs and paper credentials more than actual knowledge.

My advice would be to put it.

I should have mentioned that I was looking to get into the mlh fellowship.

@F1973 That's... Pretty sad. But it also explains a lot

If you're fresh outta college, throw it in. Can't hurt. If you have work experience, and you find a company that cares too much about certs, be skeptical. It's probably not too good a company.

If it isn't an indian company, best leave it out or limit it to a line somewhere.

@SortOfTested @Jilano we can say all we want but we cannot escape the reality.

And I speak/advice OP based on my experience and not something that I feel is reality.

Nothing changes until someone takes a stand. 😋

I mean look at Akshay Kumar, he's making a movie about maxi pads to destigmatize basic women's health issues. And also make tons of money.

@hashedram There are no Indian companies in the fellowship so I will just keep it as a line.

    @SortOfTested Interesting.

Taking stand matters when you are a significant figure in the industry or a known personality across industry.

AK is doing primarily for money and output is good social impact and not the other way round.

I have seen tons of street acts which do the same or similar campaigns but get no footage or money to continue doing it.

We (at least I) are in stage of survival and not evolution or change. Maybe when I reach at that stage of career when I can change the rule, I will surely do.

Because I too believe certs are worthless but as Adolf said, follow the rule, reach the top, and change the rule.

Foxconn change their practices because 3 nobodies killed themselves. And added nets!

@SortOfTested Am I missing your point somewhere?

It's not your importance that gets notice. It's your impact.

Don’t forget to share it on linkedin.
And you have balls to use your real name on this site
