I FUCKING LOVE NO CALL FRIDAYS.

Calls are like deadlines and have to rush for them. Hopping from one to another feels like a race.

A RAT RACE ONE CANNOT ESCAPE.

But with this no call Fridays, I can complete a weeks worth of work because I don't have to worry about anything else.

I can focus on work. I can be productive. Free of external burden, fear of showing up late, or context switching cognitive load.

I play music all day, work at my own pace and get things done.

SO FUCKING PEACEFUL.

Cutting out all unwanted distractions, annoying voices of coughing colleagues, no slack message notifications, absolutely nothing but peace.

And moreover, I can focus on being creative or browsing through artistic and cultural shit that I like.

And I am slowing liking Microsoft for their Spotlight concept. Edge shows up new image everyday and you can learn more about it and then it presents some more cool information.

I love wasting time exploring new stuff which is age old.

Just check this trivia that is linked to today's spotlight image. What a beautiful day to live.

Best thing to keep me productive through the week and actually get work done.
Weird... I'm promoting MS products 😱

    @C0D4 Microsoft is an underdog.

@F1973 MS has a lot of hidden secrets.
This insights thing blocks time out of your calendar and has reduced my time in emails / calls. I've managed to find a couple of hours a day now that's just dedicated to code instead of back to back meetings and getting nothing done.

@C0D4 I totally agree. So many secrets and actually useful products.

One just needs to try alternatives instead of being dependent on Google ecosystem.

@C0D4 I wanted to minus m$ advertising but I clicked plus and I don’t like to change my mind 😆

So actually what you need is “intelligent” calendar blocker during the week that finds you time to code ?

    For day in week
    For hour in day
if continued hours > 2 and hours between nice hours
book this shit for my dog to pound on keyboard

Flashback to the time we went to Shiraz on a vacation and I couldn't get to see Vakil mosque because I had a deadline and I had to pull almost two all-nighters and my family went site seeing without me.
