A colleague pronounces Deutsche Bank as Douche Bank.

Not sure whether she hates the client so much or is it just the accent issue.

The thing is, I tried to correct her a couple of times but we have a meeting rule: loudest voice wins and I am often outnumbered so I usually keep mum.

Fucking hilarious.

    Wait a sec, you're german?
If not - what the fuck?

@F1973 nah you got me wrong on the wtf part :D

It was more like an "what the fuck does the Deutsche Bank do with foreign countries. That sounds super nazi but it's more seen of the perspective of your average german being afraid their data could even leave their fucken house. God I hope you get this right. It's not a about nationalism, it's about what does the most German bank do with non-germans. :D

Russian language is efficient. The deutsche is ะดะพะนั‡, douche is ะดัƒัˆ

It is called big picture pronounciation. You take the big picture into account when pronouncing company names.
"Deutsche Bank" is correctly pronounced "Douche Bank" while "Facebook" becomes "Fakebook" or "Stalkbook" depending on how much you are willing to depart from the original brand name.

It basically is about making the pronounciation of a brand or name reflect more the actual actions and culture of the company behind it.

@nitwhiz Douche Bank has lots of international business. They also have been involved in a lot of shady stuff, for example something something 2008.
