No I want to keep all my paid for games, thank you !

And yet another reason not to keep your paid for games in "The Cloud"...

I've been busy lately, only had time to play one game.

Good thing I spotted this email among the other 1+ million unread emails I have..

    I could see disabling it and requiring extra steps to login after a year for security reasons.

    Closing it seems to be a straight asshole / hostile move....

    This just leads to people justifying piracy. As their license was stolen from them.

    @Demolishun Considering Ubisoft shitty servers and their uptime, it's a much better solution, yes

    DRM sucks horse dicks

    GOG is the answer...as long as they have games you want

    @vintprox Doesn't work as copy protection with me, rather as buying protection. ^^

    Weird, I haven't logged into Ubisoft for a very long time, and I never got an email about closing my account.

    Not that I would really mind, though. Back in 2010 their Uplay DRM locked me out of a single-player game for a week due to server issues. I haven't bought or played an Ubisoft game since.

    I worked at a place where we sent out emails saying you need to change your password or else we're going to deactivate your account. But

    1. This was for people who haven't logged in for over 15 years (tldr; like 30% of our accounts were like this because they had created a bunch of new types of accounts at one point and didn't even try merging old accounts, so we were left with the absolute worse pile of shit possible by the time I was working there).

    2. You didn't need your account to access the products we sold, though we did store some digital content in your account. But for the reason above, none of the accounts that were that old had any digital content so effectively you didn't lose access to anything besides the account itself.

    @Wisecrack If you want to avoid both China and the US of A, you won't have much.

    @LarryLee34 'yikes' what?

    @Demolishun
    We don't need to justify anything, the companies are doing it for us by getting into worse and worse cases of being assholes, selling subpar products without and outright lying in "gameplay" trailers, even on big events like E3

    I feel no guilt downloading a game before buying it

    @Hazarth same. Using pirate demos is a must before paying anything more than 5 bucks for a game.

    @Wisecrack ? explain yourself.
