I wonder if I'm the only one who hates mechanical keyboard sounds. I always go for silent ones.

Nah, that are two different breeds of devs. The typewriter lovers actually want to hear the sound - maybe it helps them focus...

And the noise cancelling headphone users are probably mostly digital nomads or working in open space offices. Such offices, trains and cafés can be pretty noisy work environments.
