- Conservative party lost presidential seat for the first time in almost 10 years
- Winner is a white haired Centrist who was a human rights lawyer in his youth
- Political lines which were always drawn regionally, were for the first time drawn by age group (young people voting more liberal, over 60s going full conservative)
- Koreans love PC games so much they parody them for political ads
