How can people be so dumb??

So I am sitting in a class taught by the teacher from one of my previous rants (the one that got mad at me for using a terminal).

I was working on a new project and I had to look something up. I opened up my browser (chrome incognito)

I was searching in ddg with a dark theme and chrome had a dark theme. Another student beside me asks if I am on the "dark web" ( stuped comment #1.. )

My teacher then starts freaking out that I am doing "illeagal things " and tells me that I will be arrested...

What
The
Fuck????

There should be a "don't be dumb in tech" class for teachers.

@AlexDeLarge I don't know.. it is just something that a few devranters (including me) do. I think it started so that people could tell who posted the rant without tapping on it.

Call them an idiot and go about your day.
In the case of authority figures, say "Really?" incredulously, and go back to work. If they push it, slowly turn to them and explain, very simply and slowly, why they sound like an idiot and how everything you're doing is perfectly normal. Explain it like you would to an 8yo, because that's the level of understanding they have.

It'll embarrass them and show everyone nearby that you're right. It'll also land you in the principal's office where you can explain it and make the teacher look like an idiot. Ask for someone from IT to corroborate if needed.

"A teacher who believes that a webpage with a black background means someone is "hacking" clearly doesn't have much of a grasp of technology. Why is s/he in charge of teaching this material to students?"
