DNS is everywhere.
I hate DNS.
I hate DNS migrations.
I hate having a hundred plus DNS names inside my brain.
I hate resolving issues.
I hate DNSSEC.
I hate CNAMES.
I hate services which cannot be persuaded to stop trying AAAA resolves first.
I hate the fucking stupid braindead idea to use TXT as a configuration store inside DNS... And thus the necessity to blow up DNS query size aka EDNS.
I really really really really really want to burn this whole mfucking shit down...7 -
TIL that in iOS, when you select text with double tap, it usually selects one word, but if that word is a part of a full name, it will select the full name. For example, tapping on “react” in “react sucks” will only select “react”, but tapping on “Howard” in “Howard Lovecraft” will select the entire thing.
Now that’s attention to detail. Android will never get this kind of care, pixel or not.12 -
A truly scary multiplayer gothic horror action RPG set in a Victorian world with a Lovecraft inspired story (already got the story written as it so happens) with multiple mutually exclusive but tightly linked story lines. That is to say you can experience only one part of the unfolding story with the player having to communicate and interact with others in the game world to discover the full horror of the world.
The world would not have instances the world would be in a state that players find it in, based on what other players had done.
I have a lot of the game mechanics thought out, but time and money... If only it were limitless...3
