Add a random string (like "AnyBrowser/1.2.3") to your user agent string, and get warnings about unsupported browsers, reduced functionality, and Google drive completely refusing to start at all.
It's the very same browser, just another user agent string. Ever heard of feature detection? Ever heard of usability, accessibility, progressive enhancement? How can developers be so lost in 2022?
I just tried to reproduce the reason why Vivaldi stopped adding their brand to user agent strings but sails under false flag pretending to be Google chrome. So it doesn't show up in browser statistics either and Google people can keep thinking everyone is using their shitware.3 -

Another nice rant while I try to find a job.
I make an interview with the senior dev (they are small and don't have a hr).
Everything sails snooth and they tell me "We will tell u something at the end of august"
Well yesterday I wrote to them, asking for news and not only they give me a negative response... (after they also said they forgot about me) but.... THE WROTE MY GODDAMIT NAME WRONG!
Like my email has my name in it, I presented my self and I closed the same mail with my signature. Yet they write a completly wrong name.
Like wtf!!! you can't even look for my name? it feels like they don't even know who I was.
I can say I'm lucky not to work for them.6 -
Tomorrow I go back to work. It was one beautiful week of vacation after years without having one (since 2012) and the next one is comming up in 3 weeks. Man cannot wait. Started a small Spring Boot project with Vue.js as the front end and have been having a vlast with it (see what I did there) after considering many stacks.
Went through Python flask, ror, php lumen, php codeigniter, mean, Meteor, Sails and finally settled on Spring :) the front end was a tad harder since I am better with React and Angular but wanted to try something different. Cant wait till I continue with this.6 -
So i applyed for a remote job recently and they assigned me a project as a test. The only requirement is i have to use sails.js as framework along with angular. I am thinking of quitting before i even started. Two days reading the sails documentation and it sucks big time. I am searching how to use sessions and it explains me what a session is. Fuk dis i am out.3

I love the React and Sails docs. The contents are human-readable. Perfect for idiots like me since most docs are $h!+5%&* (hint: Git).2

Thought I was a full stack developer for my company with only android and sails js until I was also told to design the website.
